The New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD)
The New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) is responsible for coordinating services for more than 128,000 New Yorkers with developmental disabilities, including intellectual disabilities, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, autism spectrum disorders, and other neurological impairments.
The Early Childhood Direction Center is a program of Bronx Independent Living Services. Established in 1983, BILS is a non-profit, community based organization dedicated to empowering all people with disabilities to understand and exercise their civil and human rights in order to live fully integrated lives in mainstream society.
